The Industry’s Most Experience

In 1982, 501(c) Services established the first trust in the country—501(c) Agencies Trust—to offer a safe, legal way for nonprofits to stop paying the state unemployment insurance tax while still managing unemployment charges for former employees.

Expert Guidance, Helpful Service

Our clients come for the savings, and stay for the service: our 97% client retention rate is due to our personal, full service approach, coordinated by a dedicated in-house team.

“Since 2013, Habitat for Humanity Orange County (California) has been a customer of 501(c) Services. By allowing them to handle our unemployment claims activity, my staff has been freed up to provide more support and housing to our community and beyond. In addition, the added services we get as a Trust member – like HR support, stop loss insurance and a dedicated reserve account – have helped us weather the ups and downs of unemployment risk. This year (2020), in particular, it has been a great relief to know we have had the professionalism of an experienced team to work with us.” – Sharon Ellis, Executive Director

Wide Range of Programs

After nearly 40 years, our experience working exclusively with nonprofit organizations has allowed us to design additional programs to manage employment risk and support HR. We offer a wide range of programs for mission-driven organizations including 501(c) HR Services, 501(c) Agencies Trust Group Retro Plan for Washington nonprofits, The Scouting America Unemployment Plan, and First-Dollar —an admitted unemployment insurance product that is an alternative to state unemployment insurance.
