The modern nonprofit workplace is vulnerable to new and unique safety concerns. Workplace violence can have internal and external origins. It is extremely important for nonprofit Human Resources (HR) departments to make certain that company policies reflect an emphasis on safety and security that lead to an environment that is safe for the organization’s personnel and clients.
The busy HR staff at today’s nonprofits often have an environment where policies and procedures that relate to security and safety are either non-existent, out-of-date, or not implemented properly.
This program, presented by security professionals with international workplace security training experience and extensive law enforcement, security, and military backgrounds will use a “case study” approach to illustrate how nonprofit organizations, specifically through the HR department, can effectively act to make their working environments safer and more secure. Real-life examples will be provided that show how nonprofit HR departments worked to address some very sensitive and volatile situations.
