Is it better to start a hiring process now or should I wait until after the holidays and launch in 2021?
As a general rule, I would recommend hiring as soon as possible. That said, there are factors that I would look at:

- How does hiring/not hiring impact the organization?
- Does the opening cause a hardship to the existing team members?
- Is the opening impacting the ability to perform services?
- What is the financial impact of hiring now vs later?
- How long will the hiring process last and when is the ideal start date?
- Is there a way to promote from within or allow a current team member the opportunity to be an “Acting” for that role? This allows for the work to be done and the opportunity to see if a team member is qualified and really wants it after doing it.
- When are we best equipped to properly onboard the candidate after the hire?
